Adjustment of Assessment Fee Scale for BEAM Plus Assessment Tools

BEAM Society Limited (BSL) would like to announce the adjustment of Assessment Fees to BEAM Plus New Buildings (NB) and BEAM Plus Existing Buildings (EB) with effect from 1^st April 2026.

Given the current economic climate and escalating operational costs, a comprehensive review of various BEAM Plus assessment tools has been conducted to make the necessary adjustments to ensure the BEAM Plus remains financially sustainable, responsive to market dynamics and appealing to stakeholders. Specifically, one of the initiatives is revisiting the current assessment fee for BEAM Plus Existing Buildings to account for the cumulative effects of inflation and rising operational costs since its revision in 2016. The adjustments aim to achieve a balanced approach between financial sustainability and market responsiveness.

We understand that changes in fees can have an impact on our valued customers, and we want to assure you that the fee adjustment adopts a cost-neutral approach, intended to preserve the quality and integrity of the assessment process while remaining fair and transparent.

The new NB and EB assessment fee scale will be applicable to projects submitted to Hong Kong Green Building Council (HKGBC) through its online registration website after 6:00 pm on 31 March 2026.
