(A) Technical Circular Letter 2024.216 on 30 Aug 2024

The Technical Review Committee hereby announces the following Technical Circular Letter. Kindly download the self-explanatory letter provided below:

2024.216 Major Amendments and Enhancement of Submission Template for IDCM 4, 5, 11 to 14 and EU P1 to 8 under BEAM Plus NB Version 2.0

(B) Update of e-Forms and Excel Templates under BEAM Plus New Buildings v2.0

BEAM Society Limited announces the update of the following-

(i) the e-Forms for IDCM 4, IDCM 5a & 5b, IDCM 5c, IDCM 5d, IDCM 11, IDCM 12, IDCM 13, IDCM 14, EU P1, EU 1 (Option 1: Prescriptive Path), EU 1 (Option 2: Performance Path), EU 2 (Option 1: Performance Path), EU 2 (Option 2: Prescriptive Path), EU 3 (Option 1: Performance Path), EU 3 (Option 2: Prescriptive Path), EU 4a (Normal Credit), EU 4a (Bonus Credit), EU 4b, EU 5a, EU 5b, EU 6a, EU 6b, EU 7a, EU 7b and EU 8 under BEAM Plus New Buildings v2.0 on iBEAM, and

(ii) the Excel Template for EU 8 under BEAM Plus New Buildings v2.0 (EU 8_Appendix A_v01-01.xlsm).

These updates involve refining content in line with the release of the aforementioned Technical Circular Letter.

In addition, a new set of Excel Templates for EU P1 & EU 2 (Option 2: Prescriptive Path), EU 2 & EU 3 (Option 1: Performance Path), EU 4a (Normal Credit) and EU 4a (Bonus Credit) under BEAM Plus New Buildings v2.0 will be introduced to streamline the submission workflow. To ensure compatibility with the new Excel Templates, BEAM Practitioners must use the latest version of the respective e-Forms, in case the project voluntarily adopts the updated requirements in Technical Circular Letter 2024.216 within the grace period (i.e., 30 August 2024 to 2 March 2025).

In general, BEAM Practitioners are required to use the latest versions of e-Forms and Excel Templates when preparing submissions for BEAM Plus New Buildings v2.0. Additionally, practitioners should take note of the effective dates listed in the updated e-Forms and Excel Templates.
