With a degree or equivalent in a built environment-related discipline; plus at least 2 years’ working experience in the building, construction or interior design industry; or

With a diploma or equivalent in a built environment-related discipline; plus at least 5 years’ working experience in the building, construction or interior design industry; or

With at least 10 years’ working experience in the building, construction or interior design industry, with completed education at HKCEE/HKDSE level or equivalent; or

Being the associate member of one of the related professional institutes in Hong Kong such as HKIE, HKIA, HKILA, HKIP and HKIS, or other international professional institutions of equivalent standing; or

All accredited BEAM Pro / BEAM Affiliate; or

Special case as decided by BSL's Membership Vetting Committee.

Natural persons aged 18 or above;

Application to Ordinary Membership could only be made upon invitation from the Board of Directors to persons interested in the Objects of the Association, which will be approved by the Board in its absolute discretion.

Individuals who have rendered distinguished service to BEAM Society Limited (BSL), typically includes: (1) Former Chairpersons, (2) Pioneers and founders of BEAM Society (predecessor of BSL), (3) Long-term committee members with a minimum of five years of service to BSL or leaders of major projects, with specific characteristics;

Have/had been an Ordinary Member of BSL for at least five years, and will then maintain membership with BSL upon election as a Fellow Member;

By nomination of Borad of Directors of BSL only.

Individuals who have made impactful and/or significant contributions to the advancement of green built environment in Hong Kong or lasting and impactful contribution to the operation and development of BSL;

Contribution in areas such as policy, advocacy, leadership, research, promotion of status of BSL, etc. with significant impact;

NO requirement for prior or current BSL’s membership or professional background;

By nomination of the Board of Directors of BSL only.
