Ir Professor Elvis Au, BBS, is the former Deputy Director of Environmental Protection Department of the HKSAR Government, the former President of International Association for Impact Assessment and an Adjunct Professor of the University of Hong Kong.  He has over 43 years of experiences (with 32 years in Government) in sustainability and environmental protection, including the initiation of policies and practices on environmental assessment and planning, ESG, green buildings, green procurement, waste to energy facilities, green finance and smart technology and AI applications.

In recent years, he has pioneered the development of various AI and digital technology solutions for sustainability and decarbonisation. He is currently the managing director of UltimAI Technologies Ltd. He is also one of the authors of the environmental chapters of Hong Kong Chronicles.
