The Publication of BEAM Plus New Buildings Version 2.0 (2025 Edition)

BEAM Society Limited (BSL) is pleased to announce the official publication of BEAM Plus New Buildings Version 2.0 (2025 Edition) (NB v2.0 - 2025 Edition), available in both Clean Version and Version with Highlights.

 

To enhance the clarity of the BEAM Plus assessment, the NB v2.0 Manual has been updated from 2023 Edition to 2025 Edition. The update mainly incorporates all the interpretations of the assessment criteria published through the Technical Circular letters and FAQs to date since the last update of the NB v2.0 Manual (October 2023). Practitioners are advised to note the effective/ issue dates of the respective Technical Circular letters and FAQs.

 

In NB v2.0 - 2025 Edition, “Conclusive Credits” have been introduced to streamline the assessment process. These credits are identified by a specialised icon for easy reference in the updated Manual. If a Conclusive Credit is achieved with sufficient evidence to demonstrate compliance with the Compliance Assessment (CA) requirements during the Provisional Assessment (PA) stage, no additional supporting documents are required for the CA or Remaining Final Assessment (RFA) submissions. While Conclusive Credits achieved in the PA stage typically do not require further assessment in the subsequent assessment stage(s), the Applicant may need to provide additional documentation or clarification if there are any discrepancies, changes or outstanding issues since the PA submission.

 

Compliance Assessment Checklist has also been updated to reflect the abovementioned changes in NB v2.0 - 2025 Edition, including the refinement to the credit requirements and the identification of Conclusive Credits. Concurrently, the eligibility of each credit for CA has undergone a holistic review in this updated checklist.

 

Both NB v2.0 - 2025 Edition and the updated Compliance Assessment Checklist will come into effect on the same date of this e-News.
