Student Greenovation Challenge! under the Jockey Club Energy Saver in Schools Project

Hong Kong’s exciting student competition that empowers primary and secondary school students to tackle real-life built-environment challenges through creativity and sustainability.

BSL is proud to serve as a Supporting Organisation, alongside the Hong Kong Green Building Council (HKGBC), Business Environment Council, and The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust. Together we are nurturing the next generation of green building leaders by encouraging young minds to innovate for a better, healthier built environment.

Theme :  Innovative and Sustainable Solutions for the Built Environment

Participants identify everyday problems related to buildings, environments, or users’ health and comfort, then propose creative, sustainable solutions in a short vertical video.

Highlights of the Competition:

• Primary & Secondary school teams create a vertical video (≤2 minutes) in Cantonese or English

• Identify a real problem in any building type (home, school, mall, community)

• Propose innovative, sustainable solutions that improve environmental performance and users’ health, comfort and quality of life

Special support workshops:

– AI Video Workshop (28 March 2026) – learn filming + AI tools (free 1-year Generative AI subscription)

– Creative Thinking Lab (11 April 2026 morning) – human-centred problem solving

– Expert Consultation Room (May–June, finalists only) – one-on-one advice from industry professionals

Prizes (both groups) :

• Champion: HK$3,000 book coupons + trophy

• 1st Runner-up: HK$2,000 book coupons

• 2nd Runner-up: HK$1,500 book coupons

• Merit Awards (2 teams): HK$1,000 book coupons each
