Taikoo Hui Guangzhou: The World-First Commercial Building to achieve BEAM Plus Existing Buildings Platinum Rating (Global Version V1.0)

Representing BSL, Chairperson Sr Frankie SO Hung Fai and Chief Executive Ir CS HO joined senior representatives from Hong Kong Green Building Council (HKGBC), Swire Properties, Guangdong Building Energy Conservation and Green Low-Carbon Association, Guangdong Provincial Academy of Building Research Group Co., Ltd., and Guangzhou Association of Building Energy Efficiency Technology to witness this milestone.

This landmark achievement demonstrates that large-scale existing commercial complexes in the Greater Bay Area can attain the highest international green building standards through excellence in sustainable operations, occupant health, and low-carbon performance. Taikoo Hui Guangzhou now serves as a benchmark for retrofitting and operating existing buildings across the region and beyond.
