Introduction

The use of BIM is relevant to a number of credits in different BEAM Plus assessment tools. In BEAM Plus New Buildings version 2.0, BIM is applicable to the following credits:

- IDCM16 BIM integration
- MW10 Life Cycle Assessment
- Embodied carbon calculations

Likewise, BIM is relevant to New Data Centre, Existing Data Centre, also part of the elements of IA_0006 "Smart SiteManagement Hub" (Construction Environmental Management aspect) in the Innovations Library.

Hence, in this webinar, an introduction to BIM technologies such as clash detection, 4D, 5D, use of BIM for asset management will be given. Terminologies like LOIN, BEP will be explained too. This webinar is not a BIM modelling course, but a basic introduction to BIM applications. BEAM practitioners or anybody who are interested in BIM are more than welcome to join.

3. The event will be cancelled when typhoon signal no. 8 or above, or black storm warning is hoisted 3 hours before the event.
