iBEAM System Wide Upgrade

BEAM Society Limited (BSL) strives to provide the best user experience in the iBEAM system. In response to the comments and feedback from our BEAM Pro and industry practitioners, we have made some quick improvements to enhance the usability of iBEAM.

 

1. Idling Time: We have lengthened the idling time to 50 minutes to allow user to idle for a longer period onto iBEAM before the user is being logged out by the system. At the end of the 50 minutes, a warning box will also appear asking whether the user would extend to the existing login session.

 

 

2. "iBEAM – e-Form Related” subject on Enquiry: Users can now ask e-form specific questions in the enquiry/ Ask BEAM functions. The e-form enquiries will be directed to the associated officers and will be attended in a timely and orderly fashion.

 

 

3. Uploading Files in Enquiry: Starting 1 October, users can attach drawings, documents and files along with the enquiry. The ability to attach files along with the enquiry enables our officers to make cross-reference between the textual explanations and the attached file and to allow our officers to make more targeted responses to the users’ enquiry.

 

4. Minor Bug Fix: We have refined the system coding on to the iBEAM system with an aim of resolving the random error messages as observed by our users.

 

5. Updated e-Forms and excel templates: We have kept on refining the content of e-Forms to enhance the clarity and streamline the submittal requirements to facilitate the assessment on iBEAM.
