ETHODS
BEAM Plus Interiors does not seek to be overly prescriptive in setting
requirements and compliance methods. As such, it is possible that some
projects may not be fully embraced by the current criteria due to their
unusual nature, or design. In such cases Applicants can consider an
alternative approach for the same objective, and submit a Credit
Interpretation Request (CIR) that details:
i.

recognition is being sought;
ii.
proposed alternative criteria;
iii.
proposed method for assessment;
The CIR detailing the proposal should be made at the earliest
opportunity. The CIR result, a ruling, shall be provided to accept, accept
with defined modifications, or reject the proposal, and all shall be binding
