BSL will mark its 15th anniversary this year and will host a full-day conference themed “Pathways to Carbon Neutrality: Realising ESG and Sustainable Built Environment” on 23 October 2025 (Thursday) at the Grand Ballroom, Crowne Plaza Hong Kong Kowloon East, Tseung Kwan O.
We are privileged to have Ms Bernadette LINN Hon-ho, JP, Secretary for Development as our Guest of Honour, and Mr Victor TAI Sheung-shing, JP,
Under Secretary for Housing and Mr Nicholas HO Lik-chi,

The conference will feature four insightful sessions:

BEAM Plus Existing Buildings (EB) v3.0 Launch Ceremony
BSL and the Hong Kong Green Building Council held a launch ceremony on 7 July 2025, and presented certifications to six pilot projects. Over 200 industry leaders and experts participated, supporting Hong Kong’s goal of achieving net-zero emissions by 2050.
The ceremony was officiated by Ms Bernadette LINN Hon-ho, JP, Secretary for Development, who was joined by Mr Nicholas HO Lik-chi, Commissioner for Belt and Road of the HKSAR Government; Mr Vincent CHOW Hau-keung, JP, Acting Director of Electrical and Mechanical Services; Sr Frankie SO Hung Fai, Chairperson of BSL, and Dr CHEUNG Tin-cheung, SBS, Chairman of HKGBC to witness the comprehensive upgrade of BEAM Plus Existing Buildings and its commitment to promoting sustainable practices.

Ir Emily WONG, Head of Project Assessment Section of BSL delivered the talk which aimed at equipping BEAM practitioners with the best practices, latest technical guidelines and assessment trend of BEAM Plus. The talk received an overwhelming response with over 300 participants joining the webinar.

This event, organised by EMSD, united top minds in the global AI industry — researchers, students, specialists, start-ups, and corporations — to compete, collaborate, and explore cutting-edge technologies. Ir Alvin LO Tsz Yeung, Hon. Secretary of BSL participated in the awards ceremony to witness the recognition of exceptional achievements in AI-driven construction innovation.
