BSL is pleased to announce that with a year of endeavour, the first phase of the state-of-the-art Assessment Automation System (“iBEAM”) has been launched on 13 May 2021. Functions available include document submission, online communication, reporting and finance.
Applicants are welcome to make assessment submission for BEAM Plus New Buildings 2.0 via e-Form on iBEAM before it is made mandatory after 31 December 2021. For details of such transitional arrangements, please refer to this Current News page and Technical Circular Letter 2021.170.

With reference to the eNews announcement dated 4 September 2019 on the transitional arrangement for the launch of BEAM Plus New Buildings (NB) Version 2.0, the Grace Period will end by 6:00 pm 31 August 2021, after that, only version 2.0 will be accepted for registration. Please be reminded to plan your project ahead.
BEAM Plus New Buildings v2.0 - Upgrade Training Course is now available on Online Training Portal till 31 October 2021. BEAM Pro are strongly advised to complete the Training so as to attain their BEAM Pro (NB) credential from v1.2 to v2.0.
The term of office for newly elected directors took effect after the conclusion of the 10th AGM of BSL on 10 June 2021 and shall run approximately two years until the ultimate completion of the AGM of BSL to be held in 2023. Please click here to look up the new composition of the Board.
BSL is committed to providing BEAM Plus assessment services, managing the environmental and health & safety implications of its services, and ensuring continuous improvement of its management system through the established IMS Policy. This Policy has been reviewed and confirmed by the Board of Directors that it is appropriate to the purpose and context of BSL and supports its strategic direction.
In order to measure the achievement of, and progress towards achieving, the Management Policy, BSL has identified specific objectives and targets. These targets and objectives are communicated with all interested parties via the BSL website and are reviewed on a regular basis to ensure their continued suitability.
Guest Lecture for Master of Business Administration Programme of the City University of Hong Kong (CityU) MBA
Ir CS HO, General Manager of BSL and Chairman of Hong Kong Quality Assurance Agency (HKQAA), conducted a guest lecture on an overview of green finance and green building, followed by a site visit on BEAM Plus-certified building and HKQAA to the students of the CityU MBA on 19 April 2021.
iBEAM Launch Ceremony
Mr LIU Chun-san, JP, Under Secretary for Development, officiated the ceremony as the Guest of Honour. Representatives from Scientific and Technological Affairs from the Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in Hong Kong SAR (中央人民政府駐香港特別行政區聯絡辦公室), Management Committee of BSL, iBEAM Project Steering Committee, iBEAM Rollout Taskforce and our strategic partners - The Hong Kong Green Building Council and Business Environment Council, had shown their supports at the ceremony on 13 May 2021.
Around 200 local and overseas guests attended the Ceremony.

Ir CS HO, General Manager of BSL joined the symposium as guest speaker and panelist on 5 June 2021. Cross-sector and multi-disciplinary professionals shared their age-friendly initiatives to champion active and healthy ageing in the community.
