Launch of BEAM Pro Training and Examination Specialty
Effective from 1 January 2017, the new scheme of BEAM Professionals (BEAM Pro) Specialty Training and Examination will be launched. Green building practitioners who aim at gaining the professional BEAM Pro accreditation are required to undertake the online Fundamental Course as a prerequisite before opting into any elective training, namely, NB, EB, BI and ND courses.
The professional credentials are accredited by the Hong Kong Green Building Council (HKGBC) whereas the training is conducted by BEAM Society Limited (BSL). The 1st BEAM Pro NB Training will be organised on 31 March 2017 at InnoCentre in Kowloon Tong. The details would be announced on BSL's website soon. Stay tuned!

BEAM Plus Platinum Project Certification Ceremony

The Ceremony was held on 13 December 2016 at Charles K. Kao Auditorium, Hong Kong Science Park. Over 200 guests from the government sectors, public utilities and educational institutes participated in the event. We are honoured to announce that BEAM Society Limited -- Office RenoGreen has been awarded with the Platinum rating under BEAM Plus Interiors v1.0.

BEAM Society has formally been dissolved on 9 November 2016 and its name has already been removed from the list of societies kept under Section 11 in accordance with Section 14(2) of the Societies Ordinance, Cap 151.

Upgrade Training Course for BEAM Pro
BEAM Plus Existing Buildings (EB) Upgrade Training Course for BEAM Pro is now available in both Cantonese and English versions on BSL's Online Training Portal. All existing BEAM Pro should take the Course to maintain the qualification of BEAM Pro (EB) before 28 February 2018.

Technical Visit at BSL and

About 40 students from Interior Design Programme of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University paid a visit to BSL's office on 3 November 2016. The Office has achieved the Platinum rating under BEAM Plus Interiors v1.0. Representatives from Business Environment Council and Telemax Environment and Energy Management Limited shared the green features of the projects and the challenges encountered.
